India Successfully Test Fires Ship-To-Ship Missile
India successfully test-fired the indigenously developed ship-to-ship "Dhanush" missile from a naval ship in the Bay of Bengal along the country's eastern coast.
The 8.56 metre missile, the nuclear capable and naval version of India's surface to surface missile "Prithivi" was test-fired this afternoon local time, the news agency Indo-Asian News Service reported.
"Dhanush" has a striking range of 250 km and can carry a single warhead weighing up to 750 kg. The missile could reach a target of 500 km with a lighter warhead, the news agency said.
