Russian Naval Vessel Catches Fire, Sailor Killed

A Russian sub lieutenant was killed on Monday when a fire broke out aboard a patrol boat in the Baltic port of Baltiysk. The Neukrotimy (Untamable) patrol boat, belonging to the Russian Fleet was docking at the port when it caught fire, Russia's official Itar-Tass News Agency reported, citing naval sources.The body of the victim was found after the fire was put out, according to the report. The doomed boat was tugged away from the other vessels of the Russian Fleet, it added, noting that the vessel was about to be decommissioned.
