Coast Guard Rescues Woman Trapped On Rocks

A U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer saved a woman trapped at the Oregon Coast this weekend. The woman and her two nieces were boogie boarding off Depoe Bay Saturday when she became stranded on rocks near Spanish Head. The girls, who were wearing life jackets, made it to shore safely. The Coast Guard launched an HH-65 Dolphin helicopter, which lowered a rescue swimmer. The Depoe Bay Fire Department assisted in the rescue. The woman and two girls were taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
