Russian Ship's Grand Arrival

More than 400 Russians arrived in Dartmouth yesterday aboard a Russian Naval ship. The RFS Perekop arrived in Dartmouth yesterday morning straight from manoeuvres in the Baltic Sea. The Officer Cadet training ship is in the port for three days.

It has more than 400 crew, made up of 275 officer cadets, 14 officers, 23 warrant officers and 106 sailors. The ship will provide the opportunity for practical navigation and sea based training for the cadets. During their stay the visitors will be taking part in activities at Britannia Royal Naval College to strengthen links between both navies and officer cadets as part of the Naval Co-operation Plan.
