Navy Sailor Killed Aboard Ship
At approximately 8:16 p.m. on October 4, a Navy Sailor working on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) was hit by a plane and died. The Sailor's name is being held pending next of kin notification. The accident is under investigation.
