Spanish Boat Arrives In Ireland Safely After Storm Damage

A Spanish fishing vessel with a crew of 11 which was damaged at the height of yesterday's storm has arrived safely in Castletownbere, Co Cork. The 100ft-long vessel, Coruna Dos, was 60 nautical miles west of the Skelligs rocks when four of its wheelhouse windows were smashed and its communications equipment knocked out when it was hit by a 40ft wave. The boat was accompanied into Castletownbare by another Spanish fishing vessel.
